It is time for us to be uplifted and we need to have faith. We must set an example, as a group and as a nation, by lifting each other’s spirits. This wonderful concert will do exactly that, and I am thrilled that you are here. I think this is a really inspiring idea because we need to transcend politics exactly as the monk Kūkai did.

I am so excited, and am deeply impressed by this symphony. This symphony is the best interpretation of Kūkai’s life, and I hope it can serve as a bridge between China, Japan, and the world. I truly enjoyed the performance and I hope you continue the world tour and make the world happy.

After listening to the performance of Kūkai in the United Kingdom, he wrote an extensive review, stating ‘This performance was enough to convince this listener, at least, that the symphony is a major achievement’
